Teen Advisory Board Activity Report
Teen Advisory Board Members Needed
The Public Library has several openings for the highly successful Teen Advisory Board. TAB is a great opportunity for teens to help support library services for young adults. Membership is open for students ages 12 – 18.
TAB members advise library staff about teen programming, promote library events, plan activities for the teen center and much more. Regularly scheduled meetings are generally held one Saturday a month at the Downtown Library. In addition, TAB members are invited to participate in all teen events.
Some past TAB activities have included the making of the video Teens Take Over the Library (now available on You Tube at http://www.youtube.com/libraryChattanooga), aiding at a Shakespeare workshop and volunteering at a Senior Gaming Tournament. In addition, the committee members have helped design a tapestry for the teen center, made banners for the Children’s and Teen Summer Reading Programs and planned activities for the Teen Wrap Party.
