To return books after hours, we now have two book drops available should one become full. The new one has a small sign reading "Book Depository" and is positioned on the sidewalk near the old one.

Children's Activities

Two sessions on Mondays - 10:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m.

Children should be 3 to 5 years old and able to attend the story hour on their own. Parents should be nearby in the library. No registration is required. Check the Children's Programs page for more information.

Wednesdays, 4:30 pm

Adventure Club allows children the opportunity to develop their imaginations through book-related activities. Activities are designed for children ages 6 to 10. Younger children are welcome to participate but must be accompanied by an adult.

The Eastgate Library will show free family-friendly films on select Saturdays at 2:30 pm. All movies are rated G or PG, and are open to the public. Snacks and drinks in closed containers are permitted in the movie room.

Saturday, August 28th at 2:30, join us for the 2009 live-action story of a 10-year old girl who sets out to befriend a beautiful wild fox she names Lily. Narrated by Kate Winslet. Rated G, 94 minutes.

 

Local Author Series

Join us every Saturday in September at 2:00 to hear local authors read selections from their works.

TN Aquarium Program

A representative from the Tennessee Aquarium was here during Afternoon Adventure Club on Wednesday, June 2nd. Children were able to get up close and personal with a variety of reptiles and amphibians, including a large Boa constrictor.
