To return books after hours, we now have two book drops available should one become full. The new one has a small sign reading "Book Depository" and is positioned on the sidewalk near the old one.

Children's Activities

 

 

Preschool Story Hour

Two sessions on Mondays - 10:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m.

Children should be 3 to 5 years old and able to attend the story hour on their own. Parents should be nearby in the library. No registration is required. Check the Children's Programs page for more information.

Adventure Club

Saturdays, 2:30 p.m.

Adventure Club allows children the opportunity to develop their imaginations through book-related activities. Activities are designed for children ages 6 to 10. Younger children are welcome to participate but must be accompanied by an adult.

Summer Reading Program 2009

Sign up for the Tennessee Summer Reading Program begins Saturday, May 16th.

Participants may be readers or listeners. Track your reading over the summer in the provided logbook and return it by July 18th for great prizes and an invitation to the Grand Finale party on Saturday, July 25th!

Last day to register is July 11th.

Teen Summer Reading Program also available, same dates apply.

The Eastgate Library will again show free family-friendly films every week during Summer Break. These movies will be shown every Wednesday at 2:30 pm, beginning May 27th. All movie are rated G or PG, and are open to the public. Snacks and drinks in closed containers are permitted in the movie room.
