Closed SignLibrary System Closed for Fourth of July

We will be open regularly scheduled hours on Monday the 6th. Enjoy the holiday!

We will be upgrading our Internet Service beginning Thursday, 6/25/09 through Wednesday, 7/1/09. There may be some interruption of service due to this changeover but we hope to keep downtime to a minimum.


Summer Reading Program 2009 Goose 2009 Summer Reading Program

Children age birth to 12 years may visit any CHCBL branch between May 16 and July 11, 2009.  They will receive a booklog, bookmark, and a “Be Creative” sticker.  For more information, see the Children’s page. For the Teen Summer Reading program check TeenStack.

No maps are consulted more in public libraries than Sanborn fire insurance maps. The Tennessee collection includes cities and towns throughout the state, with Chattanooga maps dating from 1885 to 1955. Available on computers at all library branches in our system.  Library patrons also may use at home. Try it now!
