The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Bicentennial Library is able to provide black
& white glossy prints in an 8 X 10 format. Color inkjet prints are also
available. If other sizes or finishes are needed you may order a cd of the images
so you can then make arrangements with a studio or photographer for prints.
You can also make your own prints if you have a suitable printer.
Photographs in the database are scanned at 400 dpi and archived as TIFFs, a
lossless digital format. Digital reproductions on cd are in the form of TIFFs
unless otherwise requested. Alternatives include jpegs (a lower-resolution lossy
format) and Adobe PSDs. Both color and black & white images can be supplied
on cd.
If you require a higher resolution scan or a particular size for an image please
indicate your needs on the order form.
Prepayment is required for reproductions whether in print or cd format. Please
make your check or money order payable to Chattanooga-Hamilton County Bicentennial
Library. The library does not accept credit or debit cards at present.
Please allow 1 - 3 weeks for completion of your request.
Prices: digital file on cd: $15 for up to three images; additional images $3
apiece. 8 X 10 print: $15. Mailing: $5. Rescanning fee: $5 per image (if a higher
resolution or different file size is requested)
