What is WebFeat?

The library's database search tool, called WebFeat, allows users to simultaneously search more than one library research database, as well as the library catalog. This tool will be valuable for those users just beginning a project and in need of a basic and broad search of resources. You will be using WebFeat everytime you search more than one database at a time. When accessed remotely, members may enter their library card number for the same access from home that all users enjoy at our locations.

How do I search?

Type several keywords that describe the information you are looking for. Good words to use would be ones that identify the time, place, proper names, or events that are part of your topic. For example, information about Abraham Lincoln's presidency could include several words like Abraham, Lincoln, president, civil, war, United, States, Gettysburg, Address.

Don’t be too general or too specific. If your search doesn't find any materials, try using a smaller number of the most important terms. If you get too many unimportant items, try to use more terms.

What if I don't have a Patron ID?

Your Patron ID is the 14 digit number printed beneath the bar code on your library card. Enter this number with no spaces. Without a Patron ID, you can still see certain resources from home. You can search our catalog and local databases, view our Helpful Links , and most other information on the main pages of our website. In order to search our subscription databases from home, you must join the library and receive a Patron ID. If you are not eligible for a library card you can still gain access to all our resources by visiting any of our library locations.
